Fifth Third bank - Smoke Damage

Fifth Third Bank, Harvey, IL

Fifth Third Bank required an immediate response to Smoke damage within their large retail bankingfacility in Harvey, Illinois. Afire within a4joining building caused extensive smoke (soot) related damage to the banking facility. The bank required immediate response in order to minimize shut down time and associated inconvenience to their customers and staff.

Immediate response service effort began with the placement of(6) pieces of Commercial Air Purification (filtration) equipment. Including Ozone equipment and Air Scrubbers to remove residual air borne smoke. Additionally EBM placed (8) trained Special Projects crew staff members and a fully trained Smoke remediation manager on site. Utilizing smoke remediation chemicals and associated equipment EBM began the actual clean-up process by washing all ceilings, vents and sidewalls down to the floors. Additionally all floors, carpets, equipment, work stations, offices, common areas and all work areas were completely cleaned from top to bottom with all residual smoke damage removed.

The customer directive was "get our Bank safe for our employees and open as quickly as possible for our customers". In addition to exceeding the original scope of work timeline for reopening the facility, EBM coordinated the Air Quality testing required to ensure the health and wellbeing of the workforce and visitors to the branch.
